Not to be confused with walkscotland.com, this is the Scottish Tourist Board's walking site. It has excellent advice, links to walking organisers and details of 13 walks.

Day-long guided walks within striking distance of Edinburgh cost £40, and even if you don't have boots or a jacket you can hire them. Useful if you want a gentle, sociable introduction to Scottish walking.
