If you get time, go for a beer at Gaylords on Churchgate. It used to be one of the top restaurants in Mumbai. Theres a great German bakery next door where you can buy some lovely cakes and pastries and Gaylords will allow you to eat them in their restaurant.

You're after cheap accommodation in Mumbai. Sorry - we can't help you there, but we can really recommend a hotel in the Colaba area (near the Gateway to India) on Walton St. Our very helpful travel agent found us a gorgeous place called Hotel Cowies. It's a tad expensive, but I think you deserve it after your adventures in India and Nepal.

Try and book your taxi driver the day before and get a price from him before you go. We paid our driver 400 rupees, which wasn't too bad seeing as the journey to the airport takes a good hour and a half, especially if its a night flight.

Glad to hear we were of some help to you. We're both going back next year but this time we're taking our 19 year old son and his girlfriend with us. We want to show them the real India.

Have a great time for the rest of your journey.
