Satirical barbs

Animals in focus

Water world

Ancient lights

Freezing fun
The Cool Science show for kids examines why snowflakes are the shape they are, what happens to the human body if it freezes and exactly how cold dry ice, liquid nitrogen and absolute zero are, with lots of demonstrations and audience participation. Telling time
A new exhibition looks at the relationship between time and painting. See how artists can depict movement in unchanging images, and you can use an eyetracking machine to explore your eye movements when you look at a picture. Until January 14, 10am-6pm, free.
