Hi Sue,
Really pleased you liked Jaisalmer, which must seem a distant memory now. Really enjoyed the pictures and stories especially in Malaysia - have you got the pong out of your nostrils after the Niah cave yet? Amazing how smells bring back memories, or should that be the other way around ? Also glad they are restricting the pork chops on fishing poles for the crocs. Still quite a show though. I must say how the Netjetter page is the first thing I read in the Guardian on Saturday. Hope you're still enjoying yourself. ...and finally why I'm writing. The train down from Alice Springs to Adelaide really is worth the expense. The flat scenery of the outback is mesmerising as you roll by in air-conditioned luxury. I would also recommend the Adelaide Backpackers Hostel. They are an outstandingly helpful lot. They found us a cut price camper van when we drove along the coast to Melbourne. The hire companies seem to rely on backpackers to return the vans to the base in Melbourne and do great deals if you can be flexible about when you want it. Incredible coastal scenery and sunsets. Off to Tesco now...oh, for the open road.
