Perth is fantastic. I've visited most of Oz but WA is the best. Shame it's
only a brief stay there as the countryside down around the southwest corner of
WA is wonderful (Esperance, Walpole, Pemberton). Cottesloe Beach just outside
of Perth is great. Freo (if you have time) is worth a visit. Lots of
pavement cafes, Freo prison, just mooching around second hand book shops and the
markets is a great way of spending a few hours. You sound as though you are
having a fantastic time - good on you. Have been to many of the places you have
visited and it does get a bit much meeting so many Brits, that's why WA was so
great - not so many Brits visit. Enjoy the rest of your travels. Will be
reading your Africa reports with great interest as I'd love to go.
