Paul Kenyon never travels without…

Secret filming equipment | My minder | A mini-CD player | A picture of my wife

A necessity: Secret filming equipment. I've managed to get equipment into Cambodia for Panorama without any problems, but somehow I always get stopped at Manchester airport - we were stopped three times while we were filming this series.

A luxury: My minder. I am supposed to use him all the time when I go out and do difficult filming. He's ex-SAS.

A memento: I try and buy a little photograph from each place I go to because I can't really go back there twice - just in case I bump into the person I have been secretly filming.

A favourite thing: A mini-CD player. It's so useful because if you travel with a group of people, you do get sick of them. So it's nice to be able to put the headphones on.

Lucky charm: I have a tiny little picture of my wife, aged about 10.

If only: I lose so many mobile phones and keys. If there was such a thing as a palm-top radar that you could switch on which would tell you where you'd left things, I'd definitely get one.
