First world war aircraft will re-enact a dogfight in the skies over Bedfordshire tomorrow. Fighters on show include a Sopwith Pup and a replica of the Red Baron Von Richthofen's triplane.

Men of war

Victorian week in Ilfracombe recalls life in the town 100 years ago. Organ grinders, street entertainers, a carousel and much dressing up in period costume. It is part of the North Devon Festival, which kicks off with performances by the Bolshoi Ballet at Barnstaple's Queen's Theatre on June 8 and 9.
