• I can now answer my own query: Man Around (020 8902 7177) are offering an exclusively gay all-in package holiday at a Club Med resort at Otranto, Italy September 16-23 2001. This includes free tuition at a nine-hole beginners' course and driving range (as well as free tuition for many other sports).
I have now found a very useful website which puts gay sports partners in touch with one another for golf and all other sports:
