I want to rent a Spanish villa I've seen on the net, but it is privately owned and in order to make a reservation we have been asked to pay 50% now and the remainder one month before departure, directly into the owner's UK bank account. How can we check that the villa and owner are bona fide and that we won't be ripped off?
