I am often away on short trips and need to take a suit. Do any suit carriers work? They tend to be uniquely unwieldy. Lexon's Airline Garment Bag hails the rebirth of the suit carrier, with a no-nonsense approach. It can hold one or two suits and a couple of shirts - and it has a heavy-duty hook on a short chain so that, once there, you can open and hang in situ.

Do I need a second case for shoes, pants and toiletries? No, this carrier has four large pockets inside - each big enough to take a pair of shoes. There's also a large zipped pocket on the outside for documents and newspapers.

Can it be secured? The bag zips up on three sides. The zip pullers have holes in them, to take a small combination padlock, which is included.

Would anyone want to steal it? Others might covet it. In blue or dark grey microfibre, it has aluminium trimmings.

How much? The Lexon Airline Garment Bag (model LN175) costs £67.95. For local stockists, call UK importers BIG Ltd (01372 370780/370785).
