Under £300
The new Hustyns luxury hotel (01208 893700) in Cornwall, five miles from Padstow, offers a good deal for families this summer. At £255 per night a family of four gets accommodation in one of the lodges set in 187 acres of parkland, full English breakfast, high tea for kids, a gourmet dinner and tickets to the popular Eden Project, just half an hour's drive away. There is also a seperate deal of £78 per person half board in the hotel.
Soak up the style of Barcelona. Lastminute.com (01707 222311) offers four nights B&B accommodation for the price of three at the four-star art deco Hotel Avenida, for £299 throughout August. Price includes return flights from Heathrow.
