Northern fly deal

Leeds-Bradford-based low-cost airline Jet 2 (01202 597 900) will be flying to Malaga, Barcelona, Nice, Palma, Milan Bergamo and Amsterdam by next Easter. Barcelona, Milan and Nice are new destinations for the North. More ports of call will be announced this winter.

Works hit valentines

Eurostar (0870 518 6186) trains will not run on 15/16 February due to construction work between Waterloo and Ashford. Valentines hoping to weekend in Paris should book early. Cresta Holidays expects most hotels to offer Sunday night (16th) free.

Orlando cheaper

A no-frills airline plans to fly from Luton to Orlando and Sanford, near Boston, in July 2003. Sky-Bus International Airline will offer unrestricted one-way fares to Orlando from $150 (£95).
