Live like the stars
It's your chance to sleep in Bruce Willis's bed... minus Bruce unfortunately. The star's latest holiday home, which is opening on the private Caribbean island of Parrot Cay in the Turks and Caicos this Christmas, is up for rent after Bruce finishes his seasonal festivities. Lying on his bed you have great views of the ocean on one side and the lagoon on the other. Bruce isn't the only celebrity to rent out his home; at Easter, clothes designer Donna Karan's house should also be available. There are lots of other famous faces at the main resort too; everyone from Britney Spears to the McCartneys has been. Recently Julia Roberts reportedly stayed in her room for a week doing needlepoint. Carrier (01625 547 020) has a week for £4,595pp based on six people travelling.

If you're bound for Angkor Wat in Cambodia and looking for the latest watering stop, pop into the Foreign Correspondents' Club Angkor, an offshoot of the legendary FCC in the country's capital Phnom Penh. Next to the official residence of the King of Cambodia in Siem Reap, the FCC Angkor is open to all travellers as well as journalists. There's a large open bar and restaurant with outdoor dining terrace as well as a small arcade of shops in the riverside Art Deco building. Book a tour of the area through the travel agent there, then pick up a picnic at the delicatessen before heading out. Beers cost about £1.20.
In the pink
The cries of 'Mummy, can I have a Barbie suitcase for Christmas?' are hard to ignore when every other little girl seems to have one. But can you bear to have yet another pink plastic Barbie item invading your household? The Tyrrell Katz wheelie case may be a good alternative. It still meets the pink requirement (every under eight's favourite colour) but has little ballet dancers all over it and is sturdier than the usual plastic pink trash cases. Price £33.95 (25x36x13 cm). Phone 020 7372 6696.
Get sharp
Book the Botox at the same time as the room at myhotel Chelsea, which opened last week in London. While you're at it, make reservations for tarot card readings, life coaches, hot water bottles and choose your own bedding on the hotel's 'mypreferences' form. You can specify everything from your choice of music to having a sleeping mask in the room for free; Botox in the room costs from £200 and a nutritionist £95 for a two-hour session. Designed with the help of a feng shui expert, the 45 rooms are brimful of mismatched antique and modern furniture for that English bohemian country house feel. Double rooms £185-£205, with breakfast £12-£15. Phone 020 7225 7540.
