What's new in mobile phones?
Backing up your SIM card, that's what! The Mobile Phone SIM Backup looks like a calculator and is the size of a key fob, but this little gem can be a life-saver if your mobile is lost, stolen or simply needs replacing. It is especially handy for those of us who store vital phone numbers on our mobiles but never quite get around to making a note of them elsewhere.
How does it work?
Slide the SIM card from your mobile into the gizmo and it saves a backup of any data - up to 250 names, numbers and locations - that are stored on it. If disaster strikes and you find yourself with a brand new SIM card for your mobile, instead of laboriously inputting all the number details manually (if you still have them), you just pop the card into the device and it copies all that stored info back across.
How much?
The Mobile Phone SIM Backup costs £19.95, plus p&p, from Paramount Zone (0870 0113206, paramountzone.com).
