BA treats the kids

British Airways has launched a "kids fly and stay free" offer. One child (from two to 11 years old) can fly and stay for free when travelling with two adults and staying for seven nights in July and August. The offer applies to 36 hotels in the Caribbean, with savings of up to £697 on an all-inclusive holiday to Grenada, and 31 in Florida, saving up to £519.

Follow that chimp

Adventure operator Explore has introduced a series of trips aimed at travellers who want to go off the beaten track. Operating under the brand name Beyond,there are four itineraries, to Mauritania, Sudan, Uganda and Madagascar. A 16-day trip to Uganda involving an eight-day trek in the Rwenzori mountains and chimp tracking in Kibale National Park costs £1,845 including flights, transport, accommodation and some meals.

O2's photo finish
