Grand wedding plans

My partner and I want to get married in the Grand Canyon but we've had so much conflicting advice. Do we need a visa as we are from the UK? Do we need to be in Las Vegas for a specific length of time before we get married? Do we need an apostille? We've been told we need an affidavit to confirm we are single but as I'm recently divorced does this apply?
