The brief of Baghdad
It may not be a prime city-break destination at the moment, but that hasn't stopped Bradt producing the first guide to Baghdad since the toppling of Saddam. Designed for professionals - humanitarian workers, journalists and business travellers - the guide has sections on personal security as well as more typical tourist sights.
The Saga deepens
Saga's new brochures, out now, show how the over-50s market has expanded dramatically. The holiday company specialising in older travellers now offers trips to such diverse destinations as Latvia, Estonia and Iceland as well as firm favourites Spain and Italy. Further afield Saga (0800 096 0089; www.saga.co.uk) has now also introduced wildlife viewing holidays - dolphins in Peru and tigers in Nepal are just two options.
Michelin's pub grub
Michelin, the arbiter of restaurant quality through its much sought-after stars, has branched out to cover pubs. Its new guide, Eating Out in Pubs (£14.99), is out now and contains entries on 500 of the best dining pubs in Britain, from urban gastropubs to country inns.
