Airlines are competing to take the pain out of checking in luggage - it's as easy as ordering a burger and fries if you use British Airways' new drive-through service, available to Club World passengers at the Grantley Adams Airport in Barbados.
Travellers drop off luggage and collect boarding passes at the IAM Jet Centre, then drive to the terminal and go to the lounge. (Club World fares from £1,401 return from Gatwick between 1 April and 1 June and 21 August and 30 November.)
At Gatwick, First Choice Airways passengers who have booked through first4extras (0870 608 7086) will be able to check in bags at the NCP Flightpath long-stay car park in thenorth terminal from next summer.
