One of the top 10 special offers from the Association of Independent Tour Operators (AITO) this month is a great-sounding package for anyone who has ever wanted to see the glaciers and geysers of Iceland's weird and magical landscape. Discover the World has a four-night fly-drive starting in Reykjavik for between £503 and £662pp from now until the end of May. This represents good value in a country where car hire - and almost everything else for that matter - can be pretty pricey. A typical itinerary includes two nights' B&B at Hotel Nordica in Reykjavik - which has a serious spa - then two nights at Hotel Ranga in the wilds of southern Iceland. Prices include flights from Glasgow, Heathrow or Manchester, B&B and Subaru Legacy car hire.
