The airport
Terminal 2, Heathrow's oldest terminal which opened in 1955, will close when Terminal 5 opens in March 2008. All T2 flights will be redirected to other terminals. The move will bring BAA's plans for a new development known as Heathrow East closer to reality.
The retreat
An innovative retreat, The Hill that Breathes, in Urbino, Italy, offers tuition on how to breathe and move better to increase energy levels. Daily classes take place in a large teepee surrounded by pine trees. Guests can also swim, walk, get massages and scoff veggie meals. The eco tour

The hotel
Dubai's first ski hotel opens this week. The Swiss chalet-style Kempinski Hotel Mall of the Emirates (www.kempinski-dubai.com) is attached to the recently opened Ski Dubai indoor ski slope and features 15 ski chalets. It's also attached to the largest shopping mall outside North America and has an Ayurvedic centre and infinity pool. Doubles from £183.

The flight

The festival
Those who prefer to exercise their ears rather than their legs can listen to more than 400 jazz artists perform at 125 free concerts at the Brussels Jazz Marathon, from 19-21 May. Gigs are held in bars, concert halls and open-air stages in the evening, leaving plenty of time for sightseeing. The luxury trip
Once a year, between mid-July and mid-September, travellers can make their way along the world's second highest road from Manali in India's Himachal Pradesh to the Ladakh capital Leh on the edge of the Tibetan plateau before harsh weather makes it impassable.
