Austria
It's been a great week for fresh snow in the Austrian resorts. Over half a metre fell in the Arlberg region, topping St Anton's snow depths up to over two metres and it snowed every day in Kaprun, leaving upper slopes with almost 190cms of the stuff.
France
Masses of snow fell across the French Alps last week. In the Mont Blanc region, Chamonix had thigh-deep powder off piste and fantastic conditions on the slopes, with depths of up to three and a half metres. The Paradiski region is skiing very well too, with just over two metres in Les Arcs and La Plagne, the Three Valleys has stacks of fresh snow and the Portes du Soleil is skiing fairly well - though rain followed the snow on Wednesday, ruining the conditions slightly.
Switzerland
Snow conditions have been helped by the recent dumps, though they remain variable according to the height of the resort. In the east of the country, Davos and Klosters saw lots of new snow on Wednesday, and now have depths of around 160cms on upper slopes. St Moritz and Arosa have half that depth but are skiing well at the top, while lower slopes become slushy during the day.
Italy
The snow last weekend petered out during the week, except in Cervinia where 25 new cms fell on Tuesday, bringing the maximum slope depth to around two metres. Elsewhere barely a dusting fell, so piste conditions are somewhat icy. Snow is expected this weekend.
USA/Canada
Continuous snowfall last week left western resorts with amazing conditions. Aspen and Crested Butte have powder skiing, though it's bitterly cold. Not much snow fell in the east however, though Stowe is skiing well. West is best in Canada too, with superb depths of over three metres in Fernie, but only Blue Mountain benefited from fresh dumps in the east.
The rest
Borovets and Bansko are skiing well in Bulgaria. Fresh powder skiing in Norway.
