No one in their right mind would spend more time than necessary at Heathrow, but if you're forced to, cheap beds will be available from the autumn at Yotel, the pod-style airport hotel chain that launched at Gatwick in June.

The chain, set up by Yo!Sushi founder Simon Woodroffe, has also started work on a third hotel, at Amsterdam airport, expected to open early 2008.
