Riding a bobsleigh down an Olympic course at more than 70mph has to be one of the biggest adrenalin rushes going. And now you can have a try with absolutely no experience whatsoever thanks to the Taxibob at Olympiaworld in Innsbruck, Austria.
A Taxibob is a four-man racing bobsleigh, manned by two professional racers who take care of steering and braking, so the two paying guests concentrate on not wetting themselves. The course is the one used in the 1976 winter Olympics: it's 900m long, with 14 bends and boasts a 125m drop in altitude. The Taxibob runs to a fixed schedule from 22 December to 2 March and must be pre-booked. It costs £66 per person, and participants must be over 14 or at least 130cm tall.
