Palma and the international art world are not automatic bedfellows, but all that could change with the launch of the city's first International Art Week from September 17-23.
Events include two art fairs - Art Cologne, which is being held outside Germany for the first time, and Jam Art, a showcase of new artists - and the Nit de L'Art, on September 20, when private collectors throw open their doors to the envious public.
