• The British Association of Leisure Parks, Piers and Attractions has a website, www.balppa.org, where details of its members' opening times, events and prices can be found as well as links to their own websites.
• Across the Channel, the Normandy Tourist Board (0117 9860386, normandy-tourism.org) has said there are no restrictions for tourists except that horse riding is banned.
• A leaflet called Great Attractions in Pennine Yorkshire, with information on 30 attractions, is available from the Hebden Bridge Tourist Centre (01422 843831, hebdenbridge@ytbtic.co.uk). It has information on what is open and closed.
• If you are going abroad, remember that you cannot take any meat or meat products, or milk or milk products (including chocolate). Any discovered will be confiscated at Customs.
One way of taking your chocolate with you is to fly Swissair from London to Switzerland this weekend. Every passenger will be given a chocolate Easter bunny, provided by Lindt, the Swiss chocolate manufacturer.
