Austria
St Anton (****) and Obergurgl (****) have had new snow, and on-piste conditions are wonderful.
France
The skiing is much better across most resorts . Val d'Isère (***) has very good piste skiing, as does Tignes (***), but more snow is still needed to give really good off-piste conditions. In the Pyrenees, Barèges (****) is excellent throughout.
Switzerland
Good conditions are assured in Saas Fee (***). Zermatt (***) has good skiing on the upper runs, but some of the lower runs need more snow. Davos (****) is much improved.
Italy
Resorts have improved tremendously after heavy snowfall. Livigno (***) has almost all its lifts open. Sauze d'Oulx (****) has excellent conditions, and more snow is expected. But beware of avalanches.
Andorra
Conditions are very good. Soldeu (****) and Pas de la Casa (****) have all runs and lifts open with excellent snow, but temperatures are set to rise.
US
Most resorts have seen recent flurries . The Californian resorts of Mammoth (*****) and Lake Tahoe (*****) have had the most snow recently. Colorado and Utah will continue to receive top-ups of snow, with conditions remaining very good.
Canada
Light snowfall across British Columbia and Alberta has kept good conditions in Fernie (****) and Banff (****), but a more is needed to give really good off-piste opportunities. There is a tremendous base in almost every resort in western Canada, although the east coast is not as good. Mont Sainte-Anne (**) needs a really big fall.
