Safari cancelled
Travelbag Adventures have had to cancel their first gorilla safari of the season, later this month, to Uganda because of potential threat to tourists in the Bwindi National Park from rebels in the neighbouring Democratic Republic of Congo.
Adventures managing director Mark Wright said: "Although there have not been any incidents involving tourists, we are taking no risks. All clients have been offered a refund or offered another trip on one of our safaris in Tanzania or Botswana. We hope to resume our programme at the end of July. We are continuing to monitor the situation."

Malta on the ball
Gary Neville, the Manchester United star, has signed a two-year deal with the Malta Tourism Authority and Air Malta to promote the island in the UK. Neville is launching a soccer school on the island this month. Malta has one of the largest Manchester United supporters club outside the UK. Bath on wheels

Fly from Bristol
Go, the low-cost airline, has announced three new daily destinations from Bristol. They are Edinburgh, Glasgow and Belfast, and fares range from £45 to £150 return (0870 6076543, www.go-fly.com).
