Journey times by Tube to Heathrow could take twice as long on certain Sundays this summer because of engineering work on the Piccadilly Line.

London Underground says the work - on 10 June, 24 June, 1 July and 22 July - means passengers will be ferried between Northfields station and Heathrow airport by coach. Passengers going via Heathrow Terminal 4 will need to change to another replacement bus service at Hatton Cross.

A spokeswoman said holidaymakers should allow an extra hour for the journey, which normally takes about an hour from central London.
