How's life in Fiji?

I could do with some sunshine... gorgeous drizzle in London. Haven't got any tips for you on Fiji, I'm afraid... I was just wondering if you knew of any cheap and funky places to stay in San Francisco. I know you stayed with your friends but did you see or hear about any alternatives? I don't have a big budget as I'm a postgraduate student... I just need a break to give me inspiration to write my thesis! Hope you're enjoying the beach - have you tried cava???
