Hi Milly,
Read with a great deal of interest your weekly reports. It brings back fond memories of my time in Australia and NZ. I also lived in Coogee behind the husband-wife team pizza place a bit away from the beach on Bay Road. How I would love to be back there!
Anyway .... dropped in to tell you some must-see/must-do things in NZ. I see you managed to do the sky dive! I couldn't do it in Queenstown since it was windy.
- Kaikoura - whale- and dolphin-watch - like nothing you've ever seen!
- Abel Tasman National Park - go kayaking there. Stay at the MacDonald Farm camping site.
- Go to a glass-blowing factory if you haven't seen one. There's one near Franz Joseph glacier and another on the north coast of the South Island... forget the name of the town.
- Waitomo caves... go tubing inside there ... gives me the chills even now.
- Wanganui - quaint little town.
- Orekai Koroko - volcanic springs site near Lake Taupo.
- Take a boat on Lake Taupo and see the hillside carvings.
Auckand is a must-miss! It was a let-down after I had fallen in love with Christchurch.
Have a great time!!!
