Ferry across to the Isle of Wight
Isle of Wight ferry operatorRed Funnel (023 8033 3811) has put together a series of day trips that include entry to the island's top attractions. A Dinosaur Package costs £45 and includes a return car ferry crossing from Southampton to Cowes and entry to Dinosaur Isle, due to open on 6 August, for a family of four.

Passes hold key to two cities
Two new city passes have been launched to help visitors get the most out of York and Bath. The Bath Pass and the York Pass give free entry to the cities' major attractions, and several discounts. One-day passes cost from £19 for an adult and £12 for a child.

Curtain up for the children
Thousands of tickets to London theatres are being given away from 24-31 August. During Kids' Week (020 7413 1413) any child aged between 5-16 can take in a West End show free when accompanied by a paying adult.
