• When using a Visa debit card at a Multibanco (cashpoint) in Portugal, the screen seems to expect you to key in a six-digit PIN number. Don't panic! Enter your normal four-digit PIN, and press the "continuar" button on the keypad, rather than the buttons next to the screen (which have no effect unless six digits are entered). • To reach Tallinn (Estonia), it is about half the cost if you fly to Helsinki on Buzz, then take one of the regular hydrofoil or high-speed cat services to Tallinn. The sea crossing will set you back about £20 return and takes 90 minutes.
