Enter our ski writing competition

Another ski season draws to a close but before you pack away your salopettes for another year, we'd like you to tell us what were the highlights of your winter on the slopes. We want to hear about those moments where it all comes together - whether it was the thrill of perfecting your first snowplough, an afternoon of virgin powder all to yourself, the ultimate half-pipe or even the perfect cheese fondue.

If you stumbled upon a gem of an après-ski bar, or mountain hideaway restaurant, the perfect run or even the perfect ski guide, we'd like to here about that too. If you think you can capture what made it special in less than 200 words, email us at escape@observer.co.uk, with the subject heading 'Unforgettable Ski'. Or write on a postcard to Escape, The Observer, 119 Farringdon Road, London EC1R 3ER. Closing date is Friday 22 March. Please include exact details of where the experience took place.

The winning entries will be published in The Observer on 31 March and will each win a pair of Salomon STL-22 Freeride Climadry gloves, worth £35 (0800 389 4350).
