· You need to get a Schengen visa from the consulate of the first country in the EU that you'll be entering. You can get a multiple-entry visa valid for three to six months so you won't have to keep going back for separate visas. Most consulates expect you to apply in person, and you'll need to contact them to get details. They usually want evidence that you have enough money to support yourself, are returning to the UK etc., plus photos. The Spanish consulate gives the visa the same day; with the Greek consulate, you have to go back two weeks later. The French consulate is a nightmare (long queues), and the German consulate may give you a really hard time!
