· Last May, we stayed at the very pleasant Hotel Palmero, just a handful of miles past the motorway exit for Seville airport. I believe we paid 7,400 pesetas (approx £28.50), including VAT, for an en-suite double room with TV, minibar and heating / air-conditioning. This was below the price listed outside the hotel, which I think was 10,000ptas.

We stopped, enquired and reserved our room early in the afternoon, when they hadn't got many bookings. On our return around 8pm the hotel was full.
