Anti-litter lure
Travelbag Adventures will contribute £10 to next month's clean-up trek on the Inca trail in Peru for every booking made for its Classic Peru and Empire of the Inca trips before 31 July. The firm (01420 541007) helped to fund a similar trek in Morocco, which cleared more than a tonne of litter from Mount Toubkal.

Sharp card
A tourist discount card is being offered in the Spanish city of Valencia. Holders get free public transport and up to 50 per cent off entry to tourist attractions, on entertainment and in restaurants and shops. It costs £4 a day, but less for longer periods.

Pedal paradise
A new cycle track from Sandown to Newport on the Isle of Wight opens this weekend. The £600,000 track will enable cyclists visiting from the mainland to pedal eight miles across the island from the East Cowes ferry without meeting any road traffic.
