Making strides

Let the cat out
After a disastrous maiden voyage last March, Team Philips, the world's largest catamaran, will be re-launched today. Heralded by a number of bands, she will be tested down the 12-mile stretch of the River Dart. Around noon. Baltic Wharf, Totnes.

Under wraps

Art of Norfolk

Harvest festival
Cookery demos in Winchester's Guildhall and Cathedral Close this weekend are part of Food Harvest, which also involves farm visits, food trails, pick-your-own raspberries in various venues around Hampshire. Sat/Sun. Details: 01962 845999.

We are amused

Life is sweet
