Powder Blues Gloves

A glove designed specifically to prevent snow finding its way into your gloves and jacket.

This winter I am determined to try snowboarding in powder but is there any way to stop the snow finding its way into my gloves and jacket? There is a glove designed specifically to prevent that. It works by a three-part process; an inner glove, your jacket and an outer glove.

Sounds a bit complicated, how does it work? First you put on an insulated fingerless glove that has a solid plastic cuff stitched into it above the wrist. Next the jacket is worn over the inner glove with the cuff wrapping around it. Then you pull on the outer glove, and align its plastic quick-release strap with the cuff on the inner glove. The two form a seal that guarantees snow won't get in.

Does this mean you have to have a special jacket as well? No, but the jacket has to have an adjustable cuff to fit over the glove.

Is the glove warm and waterproof as well? Yes. The inner glove has a breathable liner and the outer has Kevlar on the palm, so it is protective as well as fully waterproof.

How much does it cost? It's not cheap at £69.95. For stockists tel: 020-7434 1113. www.powderblues.com
