Most resorts have had extremely low temperatures, bright sunny weather and great skiing and boarding. More snow is forecast for the French Alps and the Italian Dolomites bringing poor visibility but refreshing the lower slopes.

Bright, cold weather, but some slopes are becoming worn.

Some new snow has refreshed the higher pistes, but rocks are showing through lower down.

Switzerland

Regular snow falls mean the best snow cover in Europe.

Italy

Low temperatures have helped maintain excellent conditions.

Andorra

Much-needed snow at last. Some lower slopes are still slushy.

North America

With new snow in Colorado and Utah, the week ahead looks very promising. Some Canadian resorts are still waiting for the big powder dumps they are famous for, but snow cover is still good.
