Just thought I'd join in your NZ debate. I struggle to understand why people like Simon feel the need to slag NZ off. Its weather certainly isn't tropical or anything. I imagine Sydney is much hotter. But you're a Brit, so you know a thing or two about wet weather, nothing to be scared of. But NZ is far too stunning to not go there - believe me, and it is just so completely different from Australia, you'll enjoy the variety. Don't let the NZ bashers get you down, I went there last year and absolutely adored it.
