Throw yourself off a bridge
The New Zealand firm that started the bungee jump craze, A J Hackett Bungy, (www.ajhackett.co.nz) is opening the world's first harbour bridge bungee later this month. The 40m jump will take place on Auckland Harbour Bridge over the Hauraki Gulf on the north of the North Island.
Lundy shuttle
A regular winter helicopter service has been introduced to Lundy Island off the North Devon Coast. The seven minute flight will operate daily between Hartland Point on the mainland and Lundy until 24 March and costs £65 for adults and £35 for children.
