Sweet little sheet cheat

Because so many of us take a sarong to double up as a beach towel and even a bed sheet, Berghaus has come up with the Tanami Travel Sheet (£20), which folds up neatly into its own travel pouch. The idea is good - there's a small zipped pocket for valuables and it's made from a quick-drying fabric treated to repel insects - but to me it's just a clever way of marketing the usefulness of any sarong. Shoe fly

Berghaus Pushkar lightweight adventure travel shoes weigh just 320g and have a collapsible sprung heel so they can be packed flat for easy storage - but because they're so stylish you'll probably end up wearing them on the plane anyway. You know the problem - you want to take your jeans on holiday with you but they're too bulky to squash into your suitcase. Cue those clever people from Rohan who have made some travel jeans. They look like a classic pair of trews and are still denim but the mix of cotton, polyester and Lycra dries twice as fast, is lighter - just 510g for the women's style - softer, and takes up much less valuable suitcase space. Wardrobe in one

Part of the Penny Plain range, this travel dress is indeed rather 'plain', but that's what makes it so versatile. Made from crease-shrugging jersey, it will still look good at the end of a 12-hour flight or after being washed and hung out to dry on a hotel balcony. It's surprisingly slimming and looks better on those with curves. It can be worn as a casual dress with flip-flops or dressed up with some jewellery for cocktails, although the high neck and short sleeves aren't exactly sexy. In a rush packing? Stuff this in the bottom of your bag and you won't need to worry about creases. Wear it, and in a short time they just fall out.
