As all eyes will be on Germany for at least a few weeks during the World Cup next year, here's news of some new flights linking regional airports with a variety of German cities.

Air Berlin (airberlin.com) has just launched new flights from Manchester and Glasgow via Stansted to Berlin, Düsseldorf, Nuremberg, Hanover, Paderborn, Münster/Osnabrück, and Leipzig/Halle. Don't get exasperated, transfer times in Stansted will only be between 45 minutes and an hour. And OLT Airlines (olt.de) has introduced day-return flights from Bristol to Hamburg and Bremen.
