Tell us about great tram rides anywhere in the world – you could win a £200 holiday voucher

Trams have made a revival in UK cities over the past 20 years or so, but in many cities around the world they never went away. Tell us about your favourite rides – the best tip wins £200 towards a Sawday’s stay

Riding a tram can be a great way to explore a city, offering a different perspective at a different pace to other public transport methods, and sometimes undertaken in colourful vintage carriages to make the experience even more appealing. Whether you’ve enjoyed a heritage ride in Blackpool or a journey on an ultra modern tram system such as Lyon’s, we want to hear details of brilliant tram trips from anywhere across the globe. If you have a relevant photo, do send it in – but it’s your words that will be judged for the competition.

Keep your tip to about 100 words

The best tip of the week, chosen by Tom Hall of Lonely Planet, will win a £200 voucher to stay at a Sawday’s property – the company has more than 3,000 in the UK and Europe. The best tips will appear on the Guardian Travel website, and maybe in the paper, too.
