For a recent fortnight's car hire in Cyprus, the optional collision damage and theft etc insurance supplements were far more than the rental. Indeed, just two weeks' cover cost almost as much as a full year's insurance on my almost identical car at home. Does anyone know of an insurance company offering either a UK policy with the possibility of a hire car extension for overseas travel, or independent policies for overseas car hire?
