Austria

Light, overnight snow across the highest peaks, but daytime temperatures have been mild leading to soft snow. The best skiing is in St Anton (* * *) and Obergurgl (* * *) on the upper slopes. Conditions are deteriorating in Soll (* *) and Kitzbuhel (* *).

France

Still very mild. La Plagne (* * *) and Les Arcs (* * *), are best on the glaciers. Off-piste conditions are heavy in Argentière (* * *). New snow has refreshed the pistes at Serre Chevalier (* * * *) and Montgenevre (* * * *).

Switzerland

Spring conditions. The lower runs of Murren (* *), Grindelwald (* *), Crans Montana (* *), Verbier (* * *) and St Moritz (* * * *) are all suffering. Saas Fee (* * * *) is still excellent on the upper slopes and off piste.

Italy

Temperatures have stayed low and new snow has fallen. Cortina (* * * *), Cervinia (* * * *) and the Milky Way (* * * *) are excellent on-piste.

Andorra

Very mild temperatures and by midday most slopes are slushy. In Soldeu (* *), the best conditions being found first thing in the morning at altitude.

US

Excellent in all resorts. Aspen (* * * *) has fresh powder on the upper slopes. Scattered snow showers have also improved the pistes in Breckenridge (* * * *), but low cloud has led to poor visibility. In Killington (* * * *), some slopes become heavy towards the end of the day but on piste is generally very good.

Canada

New snow across the West Coast with up to 20cm for Panorama (* * * *). At Whistler (* * * *), the upper piste quality is excellent. In Sunshine Village (* * * *) near Banff, knee-high powder can be found among the trees.

No snowflakes = a serious lack of snow - no lifts open. * = poor snow conditions, very few lifts open. * * = conditions reasonable, some slopes in poor condition. * * * = plenty of good skiing. * * * * = good conditions. * * * * * = fantastic on and off piste.
